The volleyball will hit the spot for those who want a good value for money, high-powered and musicically satisfying integrated amplifier – one that delivers the sort of punch that you would normally need to turn to pre-power amplifier combinations to find. Factor in its broad and convenient selection of inputs, and the joint single-box design, and it’s an impressive package. Something may think it a bit quirky to use, but others will see it as a charm – surely it’s never a dull listening companion. DP
